This API is a prerequisite for leveraging Artifact Analysis scanning capabilities in both Artifact Registry and with Advanced Vulnerability Insights (runtime scanning) in GKE. In addition, the Container Analysis API is an implementation of the Grafeas API, which enables storing, querying, and retrieval of critical metadata about all of your software artifacts.
Note: Google provides multiple libraries for this service. This library is in maintenance mode, and will continue to be made available for users who have existing applications. If you're building a new application, or modernizing a legacy application, please use @google-cloud/containeranalysis instead. The @google-cloud/containeranalysis library is faster, easier to use, and better maintained.
